ACE's charity for 2018 has big plans

The Wiggly Worm creates opportunities through practical experiences and challenges in the world of food. Managing Director, Abby Guilding outlines their plans for 2018:

"We understand how important it is for everybody to have access to good, nutritious food, so we use the

preparation and sharing of food to deliver physical and mental health benefits, creating life chances for those who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or seldom heard.

This year, we want to open a ‘Community Kitchen’ hub in the city centre of Gloucester, to teach people with mental health issues and disabilities the skills required to cook healthy food independently, in a safe and fun environment.  Many never get the opportunity to try cooking for themselves, have limited access to fresh produce, and do not get the chance to sit and share meals with others.

This Community Kitchen will help transform the lives of thousands of vulnerable people living in Gloucestershire, by improving health and well-being, building practical skills, and developing confidence and self-esteem.

Your kind support will help us to set up and run this unique kitchen hub and give people the chance to cook, eat, and create opportunities for life."
