PRESS RELEASE: Clean Kitchen Award 2008

For the second year running The Association of Catering Excellence (ACE) has teamed up with TWO Services Ltd., a leading Kitchen Hygiene Specialist, to organise The ACE Clean Kitchen Award.

Aimed at the Food & Service Management Sector of the Catering Industry both Contractors and In-house Caterers from within London & The Home Counties were invited to put forward one of their kitchens which was then judged on a whole set of criteria ranging from the actual cleanliness of the facilities to the actual procedures laid down to ensure compliance with all food safety requirements.

18 companies entered and after preliminary inspections final judging was undertaken by Geoff Ward, Hospitality and Leisure Director of HMS Ltd, part of the National Britannia Group, with the presentations being made at the ACE Summer Event on the HMS Belfast on 17th July 2008.

In first place was Motorola run by Blue Apple Contract Catering who received a cheque for £1500 plus a Stainless Steel plaque, second was Devonshire House run by Accent Catering Services who received a cheque for £1000 and third was Baker McKenzie run by Elior UK who received a cheque for £750.
