A note from Ben Jeffrey - ACE Robyn's Winner 2023

I cannot believe it has been nearly a whole year since I was awarded the ACE Robyn’s Award back in July 2023 at the Bluefin Building - the time has flown, and I can’t believe my time on the board is nearly over.

Winning this award and receiving amazing recognition for the hard work and dedication I carried out whilst working for Company of Cooks, highlighted my testament to the hospitality and events industry. Within the same year, I was also very lucky to be awarded an Acorn Award – ’30 under 30’ in Hospitality.

Being a member of the board has been an enlightening experience and an absolute honour to sit alongside these amazing figures of the hospitality world. It has allowed me to build my network, learn from the best and help get involved with some amazing events such as the ACE annual charity dinner which was held at the House of Lords.

I would also like to thank Susie and the team at Troika for their generous gift that was received alongside the award – it was an experience I will never forget. I was treated like a VIP from start to finish at the Art’otel in Battersea – thanks also go out to their amazing team, specifically Bogdan for the warm welcome and making sure all was OK throughout my stay.

Since winning the award, I have moved onto an amazing role within Central Hall Venues, based at their flagship venue in Westminster, as their Sales Account Manager and I am now responsible for over £2million worth of events through amazing accounts. Working together with the amazing team at Green and Fortune to deliver flawless events for our clients.

I want to thank our Chair, Sarah Prentice, and the rest of the board for their words of wisdom, knowledge, guidance, and kindness over this past year. It has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of the board and I can’t wait to welcome the 2024 winner to the board and take their place by these hospitality legends.

I look forward to continuing being a member of ACE for years to come and seeing all the amazing work they do to support charities and shine an amazing light on rising talent within the industry.
