BaxterStorey victorious at ACE Quiz Night!

The team at King’s Place hosted The Association of Catering Excellence’s (ACE) popular Quiz Night on Tuesday the 29th of April 2025 with BaxterStorey emerging victorious in a closely fought battle. This knowledgeable team of six won the Quiz Trophy and a bottle of Champagne each.

Over 150 people, spanning 22 teams, from the catering and hospitality industry took part with a broad mix of food service companies, consultants, suppliers and recruitment companies providing an opportunity to do what ACE does best – mix and mingle with industry peers.

Quiz rounds included Current Affairs, Music, Sports and Connections. Vacherin came second and BM Caterers came third.

ACE Chair, Laurent Lucas Dufour said: “Delighted to host my first event as Chair, our annual ACE Quiz Night is the perfect opportunity to bring people together from across the hospitality industry. Lots of pre-planning and organising goes into this event from our ACE committee. Great to see so many familiar faces around the room, meeting up with old friends and making new connections. The competitive element always adds an extra level of fun. Emma Williams and Katy Thompson co-hosted a fabulous evening, perfect quiz Masters”

The raffle held for London’s Community Kitchen raised nearly £2,000.

The next ACE event will be the Summer Party on Tuesday 9th July which will take place at JuJu’s Bar in Hanbury Street, London and will include the ACE Robyns Awards Presentation sponsored by Troika and Ch&Co.

The ACE Robyns Award is now a firm fixture in the calendar. It was created in 2016 by the ACE committee in memory of Robyn Jones OBE, founder of CH&Co, who sadly died in September 2015. Robyn was known for her tireless work in the mentoring, training and development of young talent. This award puts the spotlight on the next generation of the industry, something Robyn was always at the forefront of.
